Start of something new.

Well, my friends, I started a blog about my work with PCs. This blog will contain hardware, software, and tips for PCs, as well as answering questions others may have about problems or upgrades.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a start, today I got some parts for a Core 2 Duo build I am working on for a friend today. It may not be current generation hardware, but it'll definitely play a plethora of games on decent settings at a decent framerate.

Also, had to RMA (return materials authorization aka replace this part) some Corsair XMS2 ram that seemed to be DOA (which is a bit upsetting but it seems a number of people have had problems with it), and am replacing it with Mushkin Silverline ram (which is an excellent brand for price/performance). I am quite disappointed that this ram would not function correctly, as normally Corsair is a good brand for PC hardware, but it appears that their older ram seems to be a bit of an issue for a lot of folks apparently.

An alternate build Core 2 Duo gaming system I am also working on for another friend (that the XMS2 ram was in):
